Introducing: Rasselbande, a German-Language Playgroup
We are excited to announce the first meeting of our German language playgroup for children ages 0-4.
Children and parents will meet up bimonthly to play games, do arts and crafts, play on the playground, sing German kids songs and mostly speak German. Therefore attending children and their parents need to be able to understand and speak German to some extent. We will involve seasonal holidays and celebrations in future meetings. The events are free of charge at the moment and the capacity is limited to 20 children. Parents are expected to help with the organization and planning of future events.
You can sign up via the button below. For more information or questions, please contact Tiffany Grealish at: Tiffany.Grealish@germanclub.org.

Introducing: Kleine Bierkunde, "A Little Beer Knowledge"
Beer is one of Germany's most famous exports. German beer culture is steeped in tradition, being home to the oldest consecutively operating brewery in the world - Weihenstephan.
But what are the types of beer typical for Germany, and what is their history? We will try to shed light on German beer in this new monthly column titled Kleine Bierkunde or "a little beer knowledge." We hope you enjoy reading it and then enjoy "testing" some the different beers we feature at the BSV!
This month's feature is on the two basic types of beer found in any brewery, pub, or restaurant: ales and lagers. Learn more about these surprisingly complex beer styles in this month's blog post.
